Got Produce® is the first in the industry to promote Low Carbon Footprint (LCF) Certification for fresh produce franchising. Our technology has been successfully used in a controlled environment centers around the globe to create distributed production models of growing fresh produce. This reduces the carbon footprint of shipping produce from far away and minimizes energy and water needs. These important factors help mitigate overall carbon footprint of our growing centers.

Qualified Got Produce® franchisees receive an official Low Carbon Footprint Certification plaque with use of the Low Carbon Foot print logo for customer recognition. The certification process is available for all models and sizes. It involves a thorough process of evaluating practices, procedures and use of sustainable practices in energy and water efficiencies that contribute to low carbon standards.

Franchisees can leverage this LCF certification into corporate sustainability reporting, and communicate the benefits throughout its supply chain.

The American Carbon Registry (ACR) operates to create confidence in the environmental and scientific integrity of carbon offsets in order to accelerate transformational emission reduction actions. As a pioneer in harnessing the power of markets to improve the environment, ACR has set the bar for offset quality that is the market standard today and continues to lead market innovations.


Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) Certification

Due to complex challenges in today’s food supply chain, many of the world's largest food retailers are mandating supplier certification to Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) schemes, which include SQF, BRC, IFS, FSSC, GLOBALG.A.P. and BAP and Canada GAP.


GFSI was established to ensure confidence in the delivery of safer food to consumers, while continuing to improve food safety throughout the supply chain. These global standards address food, packaging, packaging materials, storage and distribution for primary producers, manufacturers and distributors.
